Overview:We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join a successful Neurodevelopmental Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality psychiatric care for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Participate in service and business planning activities, contributing to the development of mental health services in the locality.
  • Engage in monthly CAMHS Consultant meetings and other relevant professional gatherings.
  • Co-lead the Neurodevelopmental Team with a consultant psychologist, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
  • Opportunity to engage in research activities, with support for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • On the GMC Specialist Register, or within 3 months of completion.
  • Section 12(2) MHA approval or close to completion.
