Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the leadership planning, provision and review of psychological services for Traumatic Stress across the Health Board.
The post holder will to work in partnership with SBUHB Professional Lead for Psychological Therapy and Traumatic Stress Wales and be responsible for leading and contributing to devising developing and implementing ways of working to improve the delivery of services for people experiencing psychological trauma.
The post will include carrying a highly specialist caseload and supervision of others delivering interventions for trauma.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To have delegated responsibility, for the professional leadership, planning, systematic provision and review of services for Traumatic Stress Psychological Services within SBUHB
To have responsibility for the professional leadership and management of psychologists, assistant psychologists and psychological therapists within Traumatic Stress Service.
To establish ways in which broad clinical and professional policies should be interpreted, and be accountable for own professional actions.
Devise, develop, interpret and implement discrete policies and service developments as required for the SBUHB Traumatic Stress Service.
In collaboration with the Lead for Psychological Therapies and Traumatic Stress Wales develop psychological therapies provision and ensure clinical governance processes are in place and implemented in the SBUHB area.
To carry a highly specialist clinical caseload of clients with complex and enduring mental health problems related to having experienced Traumatic events
