Consultant Radiologist Interventional Radiology

In addition to specialist interests, all consultants will be involved in providing a general clinical service to the Trust: Provision, in conjunction with consultant colleagues, of a comprehensive imaging Service to Derbyshire, Staffordshire and surrounding areas with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness and the proper functioning of the department. Out-of-hours responsibilities, including participation in the Interventional Radiology consultant on-call rota. Active participation in undergraduate and postgraduate education, including training sessions for Foundation Years, Specialty Registrars, and medical students. Provision of cover for your consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave including care of patients and supervision of doctors in training.
Responsible for the professional supervision, training, and management of junior medical staff, carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required and contributing to postgraduate and CPD activity locally and nationally as appropriate
