Description:
The post includes supervision and training of the specialist registrars. There will be participation in the out of hours vascular interventional rota on a 1 in 8 basis.
Additional sub-specialty interests can be incorporated into the job plan and there are particular opportunities to contribute to cardiac imaging and acute stroke services.
Work may take place across sites and there is the opportunity for home working home 1 day per week.
The post could be tailored to suit a locum or less than full time role .
If the appointee is not a UK CCT holder, they will be expected to work towards CCT in clinical radiology via the CESR route within an agreed period. Progress towards this goal will be reviewed regularly.
The appointee will join a team of seven other vascular radiologists who provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services to our region. The successful candidate will have a major role in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease, endovascular aortic repair, trauma care and visceral arterial intervention. There will be an additional commitment to cross-sectional cardiac imaging and opportunities for involvement in the management of cutaneous and pulmonary vascular malformations.
