Description:
APCO’s London office is hiring a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join our fast-growing public affairs team. We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and talented professional to join our team based on The Strand just a few minutes’ walk from Parliament.
We work with high-profile companies and organisations spanning energy, transport, health, tech, and sustainability, AI and professional services. Candidates with an interest in these sectors would be welcomed. Ideally you will have strong expertise navigating UK policy issues and a deep understanding of developments in Whitehall and Westminster.
The ideal candidate would need to have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in consultancy, party politics, in-house, UK political institutions, or within trade associations/think tanks. Experience of working in the UK’s Parliament and of the Labour Party would be of great advantage, but not a pre-requisite for this role.
This is a superb opportunity for a high-performing and initiative-taking colleague who will be responsible for day-to-day client projects, coordinating cross-border activities, delivering client-ready materials, reviewing the work product of junior team members, event planning and execution and actively engaging in the generation of new business.
2025 promises to be a hugely exciting year in the political calendar. by joining our team, you will be working with colleagues across APCO’s international network of 32 offices who are open, collaborative, collegiate, supportive and diverse.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day running of client accounts and campaigns in different sectors
- Developing and implementing integrated communications campaigns across APCO’s international network
- Political research and monitoring for clients and new business opportunities
- Coming up with creative ideas for how to meet our clients’ political objectives.
- Playing an active role in new business and helping further grow the London based Public Affairs team
- Attending think tank and other policy events in and around Westminster & Whitehall
