This is a 1-year contract position.
Location - Work primarily takes place at Enterprise Square on Jasper Avenue, Edmonton. This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of progressive experience in human resources management or a related field.
  • Dedication to expanding and growing in the field of Talent Management within the University of Alberta.
  • A highly motivated, creative, passionate, resilient, and proactive approach to work.
  • A desire to play a functional lead role in developing and mentoring staff for the purposes of development.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and familiarization of HR trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on driving results from the Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment (HRHSE) Strategic plan.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and programs in talent acquisition strategies and act as a subject matter expert to support the Executive Search process and procedure and support other Talent Acquisition needs, eg. sourcing, candidate experience and employer branding program.
  • Act as a talent acquisition strategies subject matter expert to ensure support and collaboration in working across HRHSE and with other partners across the university, particularly in Shared Services.
  • Drive a diversity-first approach, ensuring historically underrepresented or marginalized equity-deserving groups are appropriately represented in the Talent Management projects and strategies.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of hiring managers and campus collaborators.
  • Support university governance work through process optimization and policy work specific to the Talent Management CoE.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies across the CoE within engagement, culture and performance, and succession as needed.
  • Lead, participate and collaborate in committees and working groups of peers on HRHSE-related initiatives and projects.
