Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Sound knowledge of Scottish planning policy and legislation
  • Demonstrable and relevant experience of working on planning applications
  • Client focus, with good interpersonal skills and collaborative working approach
  • High level of commitment to quality
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure
  • Competence in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management and successful delivery of major development applications including coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across various project types.
  • Providing planning advice to colleagues and clients on planning policy, consent requirements and the application of permitted development rights.
  • Carrying out planning research and analysis and assist with planning feasibility reports and consent strategies.
  • Writing Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements for development applications.
  • Liaising with the Environmental Impact Assessment team.
  • Contribution to the preparation of successful commercial tenders.
  • Assisting with project management and implementing quality and health and safety principles.
  • Participating in internal and external meetings
