These are key positions within our businesses; we are looking for the right individuals to help build our Nature-Based Solutions, Carbon, Sustainability, Bidding, P3M and Digital capabilities and the offerings across our i3Works and i3NetZero businesses.

OVERVIEW

We are specifically looking for passionate Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and Carbon expertise, and Project Managers/Business Analysts who have experience in Sustainability, Net Zero and/or Social Value. The work will be varied, stretching and you will have the chance to shape decisions that will have significant strategic influence on the business and our clients’ businesses.
You will guide and influence stakeholders and teams using effective communication, and utilisation of project management and/or digital services skills aligned to the client-agreed delivery strategy. These are outward-facing roles requiring effective leadership and stakeholder engagement together with well-developed collaborative working practices in NBS, Sustainability and Net Zero.

CORE SKILLS

This list is not exhaustive, these are example skills/responsibilities you will need to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience in Nature-Based Solutions, Carbon, Sustainability and/or Social Value and/or Net Zero Pathways, Circular Economy, Decommissioning, Waste, Environmental Management, Climate Security and/or Sustainable Technology.
  • Experience in defining, managing and delivering complex projects, programmes and portfolios. Programme / Portfolio office organisation.
  • Recent experience of working within the Public Sector, Ministry of Defence, Nuclear, Defra, IT or Infrastructure programmes.
  • Leadership of Programme assurance reviews on projects of increasing size and complexity and in the delivery of major business and change management solutions.
  • Conversant with continuous improvement and benchmarking methodologies.
  • Expertise in multiple planning management and control disciplines. Fully conversant with risk and opportunity management including associated methodologies. Implementation of benefits management, quality management, and blueprint design and delivery principles.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and a ‘Can-Do’ attitude.
  • Demonstrable effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Business Development and ability to bid manage complex proposals, provide technical assurance of bid costings and scope, leading bid teams and opportunity pursuit teams.
  • Ability to identify key areas for the department to develop capability.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary Programme teams, managing performance and delivery.
  • The suitable candidate(s) already hold or will be expected to achieve Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

ROLE

Responsible for the management and delivery of projects plans and/or digital services to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included, and performance is adequately monitored. Significant contribution to Nature-Based Solutions, Carbon, Sustainability and Social Value business development, bid identification, submission & related initiatives.
Work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of an assigned project to identify and mitigate potential risks for the delivery of outcomes and products particular to requirements being managed and delivered to date and time. This could include any of five thematic areas of Social Value, as well as aspects of Sustainability, NBS and the Journey to Net Zero.
You will develop stakeholder relationships with suppliers; including preparation of joint plans; proposals and any design and build documentation as well as preparing technical briefs, costing analysis, status reports and meeting minutes/notes. You will be providing consultancy support to clients around portfolio, programme and project planning and controls, and/or digital services.
Ideal Project Management related candidates will be able to provide the application of APM methodologies underpinned by practical experience of P3M delivery as well as marketing the organisation’s capabilities when required, including business development activities. Along with an understanding and expertise in NBS, Sustainability, Social Value and/or Net Zero.
Ideal Digital Services related / Business Analyst candidates will be to act as the bridge between the business and the technical directly contributing to that team’s goals with your analytical skillset. You will work with clients to clarify ambiguity, resolve issues, and assist with additional functionality across the service development lifecycle. Along with an understanding and expertise in NBS, Sustainability, Social Value and/or Net Zero.
