About the Role
Join the Datacom Consulting Services team and play a crucial role in leading large enterprise organisations through their transformation journey. As a Consulting Director, you will be working closely with customers to help them embrace lean value stream approaches to define, shape and support the rollout of new transformation projects. You will combine proven consulting frameworks with your wealth of experience and expertise to provide pragmatic consulting, coaching and workshop services that get tangible results. Once complete, you will have the satisfaction of overseeing Datacom’s technical delivery teams as they action your strategy and bring it to life through delivery of technology solutions.
What you’ll do (your why)
You’ll be a people-centric leader, working closely with our customers’ key business and technology stakeholders to lead and advise them through their transformation journey. As a seasoned practitioner in consulting with organisations on their strategy and digital roadmaps, you will be familiar with managing a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels and challenging their thinking. You will focus on building trusted relationships with our customers and help identify opportunities to enhance their business and realise value through leveraging technology. You will also be a thought leader both internally and externally, regularly presenting at events, blogging and posting on social media.

What you’ll bring

  • Consulting experience in helping customers prioritise and align business and IT strategies, then translating these into strategic roadmaps and work packages
  • An ability to apply proven advisory frameworks and a process-driven approach to assessing and guiding customers through organisational and technical change
  • An ability to identify technology adoption opportunities for customers that deliver growth and/or productivity benefits
  • An ability to translate desired strategic/business outcomes into high-level architecture and design frameworks and to present these to customers
  • Advocates for driving business value through human centred design principles and agile business practices.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to be able to work effectively across both the customers’ business and IT teams, and with other Datacom teams
  • A track record of delivering transformation programmes and projects in leading roles
  • A team player who enjoys working within a team of multi-disciplined consultants who are committed to helping our customers via the delivery of high value strategy and consulting engagements
  • An ability to coach and mentor more junior consulting team members
