Description:
ERM is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Consulting Senior Associate, Engineering/Geologist/Scientist with up to two years’ direct experience to join our growing team in Denver, Colorado. Working under the direction of Project Managers and Partners, the successful candidate will primarily work on remediation projects in northeast Colorado for at least the first year. Opportunities to work on other interesting site investigation and remediation projects throughout Colorado locations will be available over time. This will include the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, covering the full spectrum of ERM’s services.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor in chemical, civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering; geology; environmental science or related degree.
- 1+ years of directly applicable environmental consulting or related professional experience and environmental field work experience.
- Ability to work/conduct field assignments.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established health and safety protocols.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field work, including remediation system operation and maintenance (O&M), sampling, drilling, well installation, remedial pilot tests, and construction oversight.
- Support the diagnosis and repair of mechanical remediation systems and manage subcontractors doing the same.
- Develop standard operating procedures.
- Support remediation system optimization.
- Assist in groundwater and system performance monitoring.
- Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation.
- Prepare environmental compliance plans, permits, and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
- Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.
- Driving to/from client or project sites is an expectation of the position.
