THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for Associate Consultants (Staff) within the Life Actuarial team for delivering actuarial valuation and reporting solutions. A consultant will work closely with senior consultants/managers to carry out their day-to-day responsibilities.
Our clients are large multinationals, conglomerate groups and domestic insurers within the Life insurance sector. The team delivers sustainable benefits to our clients though enhancing business decisions using improved and effective applications of core Actuarial principals, methodologies within applicable standard practice.
Our growing team of actuarial professionals come from a diverse background, all committed to being long term trusted advisors to our clients.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years Life Actuarial experience in actuarial modeling and/or valuation
• Good Actuarial exam progress
• Proficient in report writing and documentation.
• AXIS expertise and experience preferred
• Knowledge of US Life/Annuity products and regulations, STAT/GAAP reporting
• Good communication skills
• Strong ownership
• Experience with Advance Excel /VBA/SQL/Python would be an added advantage
• Highly motivated, self-driven individuals who can work independently as well as in a team environment effectively
• Preferably from a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Statistics, Math, Physics, Economics, Finance)

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a junior consultant, you will:

• Support senior consultants/managers in delivering high quality actuarial work products and services to the clients within agreed timelines.
• Support senior consultants/managers in modelling, valuation, annual cashflow testing type work
• Support senior consultants/managers in preparing and explaining stat, tax, and GAAP reserve results by carrying out Analysis of Change/ Attribution analysis.
• Develop business acumen to understand how product design, US regulatory requirements, and modelling assumptions affect financial results.
• Assist in process improvement efforts including automation and process enhancements
