Description:

Our client in Cork is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Consumables and Materials Coordinator
This will be a 12 month position with a view to renew on an annual basis.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or other laboratory science is preferred, with 2 or more years of relevant experience working in an R&D, or industrial laboratory.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience in inventory and logistics management, including tracking shipments and stock levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, using tools such as Excel, MES, or similar systems.
  • Experience with procurement processes, including working with third-party suppliers and managing contracts

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage workloads and priorities effectively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to handle process improvements and operational challenges

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of cleanroom operations and consumables (chemicals, gases, gowning, etc.).
  • Familiarity with onboarding new suppliers, including compliance with NDAs and TPAs.
  • Experience with production planning in a semiconductor, manufacturing, or research environment

Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipments including but not limited to receiving, dispatching, inspecting, storing, packaging wafers and other material and keeping systems updated using the Internal tracking system and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Maintain wafer storage and lab supplies; trigger new material order based on the stock levels and perform quarterly inventory counts
  • Support small scale production planning for global sites including but not limited to preparing reports for plans, progress and throughput on a regular basis.
  • Communicate with research teams, projects managers and logistics teams for wafer transactions, daily priorities, and status updates
  • Support process improvement projects such a testing and build systems in the areas of inventory and wafer transaction management
  • Write and maintain all relevant SOP’s for the role ensuring all are up to date and reflect current practice.
  • Good written and verbal communications within the team and to cross-functional teams.
  • Able to generate summaries of data relevant to the role.
  • Provide back-up support for the consumables manager in completing the following:-
  • Maintain stocks of consumables on site to avoid line down situations while ensuring best before dates do not expire - to include chemicals, gases, cleanroom disposables, cleanroom gowning and consumable spare parts
  • Work with procurement teams to order consumables and tools - adhering at all times to the company buying process for all purchase requests.
  • Liaise with company third party suppliers and partners for the storage and delivery of materials
  • Support the company in onboarding of new suppliers, including follow-up on NDAs, TPAs etc.
  • Act as first and central point of contact for all company procurement queries regarding the purchase of tools and consumables.
