Description:

We are looking for a product marketer to play a critical role in shaping WhatsApp’s core consumer experience. This person will play a significant role in leading and envisioning the future of the WhatsApp product experience and develop breakthrough marketing initiatives that drive consumer awareness, engagement, and retention aligned to our product. The ideal candidate is someone who can drive both strategy and execution and cares deeply about WhatsApp’s mission to connect the world privately. They are analytical and creative, highly collaborative, and will have a successful track record of launching & scaling mass-market consumer products or services that people cannot live without for well-known consumer brands. They will have experience influencing the product roadmap, successfully representing the consumer across the product lifecycle, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing and/or marketing, product management, or business experience
  • Experience launching and scaling consumer products or services
  • Experience working closely with product and design teams in the product development process
  • Project management experience working with a variety of internal teams and stakeholders to understand and solve problems
  • Experience with consumer mobile app and technology landscape both in the U.S. and internationally
  • Experience developing and driving analytically rigorous full funnel marketing campaigns

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • International experience and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes
  • Experience working on complicated issues such as data sharing
  • An interest in WhatsApp and its mission to connect the world privately

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Marketing Insights and Data Science to generate actionable quantitative, qualitative, and competitive insights to inform strategy
  • Build strong product positioning, clear narratives, and drive influence across the WhatsApp product to ensure we’re delivering consumer value and driving understanding
  • Drive go-to-market strategy working closely with cross-functional teams to determine effective launch plans and communications
  • Partner with brand and integrated marketing on outbound marketing and advertising strategies, develop programs to drive consumer awareness, adoption and long term engagement
  • Understand the WhatsApp Consumer and their connection with the product to drive meaningful new product/feature adoption and greater engagement.
