Description:
Let’s Do This is looking for a Community & Content Manager to join our growing team and lead the charge on our social media and email channels. You’ll be the voice of our brand online, building and growing a thriving community and crafting content that sparks conversation and ignites engagement across our active customers.
ABOUT YOU:
- A creative social media whiz with a knack for understanding what makes people tick online. You have a proven track record of campaigns and content initiatives that have engaged your communities and delivered ROI
- A passionate and active member of the running community. We are looking for someone who embodies our brand - who knows the benefits that attending these events brings to your life and has this as an active part of your life
- We don’t care about your PB or how experienced you are, however we need someone in this role who is happy to be at events and part of the running community, as the expectation is that you’ll be helping capture this
- We understand that this will likely mean that you will be out of the office throughout the week / working some weekends, and we are very happy for this role to have the necessary flexibility and support for this remote setup
- A community builder at heart, with a proven track record of growing communities, passionate about fostering meaningful connections and sparking conversations.
- Able to write copy that’s both informative and irresistible to support the content initiatives.
- A visual storyteller who can turn ideas into captivating photos and videos, with the ability to work in design and editing software as needed
- Experience working with influencers/ambassadors and community members, helping ensure the brand’s needs are met but also they have a great experience interacting with us
- A data enthusiast who enjoys analysing metrics and turning insights into actionable strategies.
- A self-starter and go-getter, comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and loves being part of something bigger than themselves.
WHO WE ARE
Let’s Do This is the online company getting people offline.
We exist to inspire people across the world to come together and experience moments that make them feel alive. We’re currently going after mass participation sports events (Marathons, Triathlons, 10Ks, 5Ks, swim races), where we’re proud to be the global leader.
We’re at a super exciting and rapid stage of our development. We now take over 1.5 million bookings every year, driving growth for our industry from large-scale races like the UK’s London Marathon Events, Great North Run and San Francisco’s Bay To Breakers to hero races like the Hackney Half, the London Triathlon, or grassroots races like those from RunThrough.
We’ve grown exponentially in the UK since our launch in 2017 and are now in the process of expanding within the US market with the same energy our brand represents. We’ve raised $90M to date and were the fastest growing company on YCombinator, and our investors also include Tier 1 VCs NFX, EQT, and legendary individuals Serena Williams and Usain Bolt.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a content strategy across Instagram, and email at times, that aligns with our brand identity and resonates with our target audience. Think viral trends, creative storytelling, and campaigns that push boundaries
- Help set up our community on TikTok - we see this as a big opportunity area for us and want someone to take the reins here who is experienced on the platform
- Foster a positive and interactive environment across all channels. Respond to comments and messages promptly, moderate discussions,
- Identify and build relationships with relevant members of the running and endurance sports community to amplify our reach and create co-branded content
- Craft compelling copy for all social media and some email campaigns, injecting our brand tone of voice into every post and email
- Work with our brand partners to help them reach our audience in unique and engaging ways that meet both the partner’s KPIs, but also deliver meaningful value to our audience
- Shoot and capture high-quality photos and videos, mastering the art of creating scroll-stopping content on various platforms. Basic editing and design skills required
- Assist with capturing events (such as our monthly run club and also at some of our partner events across the year) for our channels that bring our community together and encourage more people to join in
- Analyse key metrics across all channels and provide actionable insights to optimise our content and community engagement strategies
- Stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving social media landscape, constantly seeking new ways to engage and surprise our audience
