Apprentices starting at the BBC from 2025 will be placed on a ‘Fixed Term’ contract. This means your contract is for the duration of your apprenticeship only.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Contract Type: 16 Months Fixed-Term Contract
Location: This opportunity is available to those who live within a commutable distance of central London. Due to working hours, we recommend a maximum of one hour from / to base which for this role is Kirby Street, EC1N 8TS. Please note there will be no reimbursement of travel to and from work.
Salary: £21,840 (+ £5,318 London Living Allowance)
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING ON THE APPRENTICESHIP?
- Working with the Social Media & Communications Producer to develop, plan and produce videos, audio, clips and images that support CTVC’s in-house brands, TrueTube and Things Unseen, as well as other programming.
- Supporting the Digital Team to help research and develop social ideas for inclusion in pitches and proposals.
- Alongside the Social Media & Communications Producer, working collaboratively with the production management team to produce content and bring them in on budget and to schedule.
- Research, write and prepare first-draft copy for social media posts that will be signed off by our Social Media & Communications Producer and Heads of Departments.
- Designing documents to be stylish and engaging.
- Re-version visual, audio and written content to be used across a range of social media channels.
- Helping to monitor data and engagement to help understand how content is being used, evaluate campaigns and recommend improvements.
- Storing content securely and methodically in collaboration with the Production Manager and in line with company production workflow guidelines to enable efficient access and retrieval.
- Manage content online using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Undertake continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with trends and technology.
