ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintains day-to-day destination marketing channel management
  • Creates or sources daily marketing content for tourism marketing channels
  • Maintains a strong marketing sales funnel through Visit Sylvan Lake
  • Works with the Culture & Tourism team to translate marketing creative into marketing materials

in alignment with Brand Guidelines

  • Develops a visitor newsletter for regular distribution
  • Supports the Tourism Partnership Program
  • Coordinates logistics and attendance trade shows
  • Assists in maintaining department administration
  • Promotes and supports Brand Guidelines and Social Media Policy.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Diploma in Tourism, Marketing, Communications or related area
  • 1 Year of Relevant Experience
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Graphic Design is an asset
  • Social media management, Website management and content creation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with internal and

external stakeholders

  • A Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License as deemed acceptable by the Town
  • An RCMP Based Criminal Record Check deemed acceptable by the Town

To be successful in this role, candidates will need to demonstrate knowledge of the Sylvan Lake
Community needs and have flexibility in their work schedule to accommodate special events, trade
shows and projects. Only those with a positive team oriented attitude will be considered.
