POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Content Developer (CD) who is charged with spearheading the development of new learning experiences. Working across our visual lessons, interactive cases, and other content initiatives, the CD plays a key role in the overall development—from initial ideation to completion—of Sketchy’s core products. Representing the student perspective, the CD is charged with weaving delight into everything we do. The CD also supports content/creative requests across the company, which includes writing captivating copy, serving as an internal Subject Matter Expert, and attending conferences.
Sketchy is hiring remote employees in these select US states: California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MD/DO, relevant PA/NP degree, or equivalent.
  • Post-graduate clinical experience strongly preferred.
  • Background in creative pursuits preferred (writing, art, film, etc.).
  • Strong administrative skills and able to effectively manage people through influence.
  • Able to multitask and manage a complex development schedule.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communicator, both oral and written.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members while coordinating with remote employees.

Responsibilities:

Interactive Case Creation

  • The Content Developer is the sharp end of Sketchy’s scalpel. You’ll develop interactive patient cases for students across healthcare disciplines, including MD/DO, PA, and NP.
  • Work with faculty authors and experts to ensure content is clinically accurate and relevant to students.
  • Interface with our product and design teams to create new experiences for our users, both students and faculty, and to improve the efficiency of content development.

Script and Visual Development

  • Own the creation of our beloved visual lessons from the beginning, helping organize and/or create the medical basis and bring the lesson to MindSmelt, where Sketchy magic is made.
  • Create lessons, including background research and content development, and contribute to curriculum and course planning
  • Work with the Post-Production team, both in-house and external, in the assembly, finishing and packaging of all video and interactive content.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of high quality story and symbol concepts as well as all finished and packaged learning content within their designated curriculum pod.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • You know the audience and you know our content. That makes you the best person to teach the world about Sketchy. You’ll work with our marketing, sales, and product teams to hone our customer-facing persona, and bring all that is special about Sketchy to a variety of platforms and media.
  • Respond to social trends and our engagement data to refine and improve our content marketing creative.
  • Guide user and market research to improve our product offerings.
  • Present at webinars and conferences as a representative of Sketchy, building connections with students at all levels.
