QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical background with experience in programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or TypeScript, and familiarity with frameworks like React, SpringBoot, or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Docker, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Experience with software development best practices and principles (e.g., OOP, SOLID).
- Enjoys working with other people and interacting with subject matter experts.
- Familiarity with interactive technical education platforms like DataCamp or similar providers.
- Able to effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate ideas to others, including non-technical audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Knows when to push back, challenge an idea, seek out compromise, and do so positively for the company’s benefit.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Software Engineering Content Developer, you will directly contribute to DataCamp’s mission by creating high-quality, engaging software engineering content. Your focus will be on expanding our software engineering content library across various programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
You’ll contribute to courses, interactive exercises, and projects, acting as a reviewer, thought partner, and advocate for our learners. With a strong technical background in programming and development tools, and the ability to work across functional groups, you will make data-driven decisions and lead projects to successful completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation
- Develop engaging and interactive content for our Software Engineering curriculum, focusing on technologies like HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new and innovative learning experiences to our software engineering tracks.
- Provide critical feedback on course specifications and ensure content meets industry standards and best practices.
- Write automated tests in Python to provide personalized feedback for learners.
- Use SQL to make data-driven suggestions for content improvements based on learner feedback and engagement data.
Project Management
- Manage the course development process from post-planning through course launch.
- Work closely with course instructors to make content interactive and engaging.
- Effectively set and hold instructors accountable for deliverable deadlines.
