Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
A rare opportunity has come up to lead one of our biggest radio brands.
The Content Director role takes ownership of both strategic and day-to-day running the station - people management, content and cost responsibilities, and leading a team of 14+ direct reports. You will work with the Group Content Manager and Director of Content to maximise station ratings and revenue by delivering quality radio content as well as contributing to the strategic plans for the brand across all platforms.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
- Work with the executive team on strategic plans for the brand on all platforms
- Conduct daily planning meetings with all shows and producers, and weekly team meetings
- Regular coaching and direction of all hosts and producers on the network
- Create & oversee Network Promotions to ensure their successful execution
- Oversee the daily logs for the Network and its broadcast output in all markets
- Oversee station imaging & its features and shows
- Manage budgets & annual leave of direct reports
- Manage both network & local market announcers & station teams
- Work with Sales, Marketing and Publicity to maximise output
- Assist Sales process with delivery of ideas, integration & revenue
To thrive in this role, you must bring previous experience as a Content Director within radio, as well as the following skills/experience:
- A proven performer who is capable of successfully leading a major Radio Brand
- Experience leading and coaching individuals to achieve high performance
- Have a sound understanding of market research through SWOT analysis
- Effective at building relationships across the business to influence, make strategic plans and achieve outcomes
- Minimum 4 years experience in music radio programming, ideally in a leadership capacity
- A generous team member who appreciates individual and business success and who continually seeks opportunities to improve programme content and production
- Digital and social media savvy
- A generator of original idea
