About the Role (Your Why)
The Content Editor will be tasked with writing, producing and editing high-quality content for use across a wide variety of mediums including Datacom’s digital platforms, media, social media, event collateral and digital marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Group Content Editor, this position is an integral part of the wider marketing and communications team, working with marketing leads, subject matter experts and stakeholders across the business to craft content that helps share our story in a compelling way, supports key marketing and partner activity, and enhances awareness of Datacom and its offering in our target markets.
What You’ll Do

As a Content Editor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the Group Content Editor and content producers in crafting and creating content that aligns with key brand, communication, and marketing activities, while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Actively identifying opportunities for content that supports broader brand and marketing focus areas.
  • Creating a variety of editorial content, both short-form and long-form digital pieces, based on interviews with internal and external stakeholders as needed, to support key business objectives and marketing priorities. This includes e-books, customers stories, thought leadership pieces, whitepapers and award entries.
  • Assisting the Group Content Editor and Head of Communications with strategic initiatives, including daily support for internal stakeholder liaison and coordination.
  • Ensuring adherence to brand and content guidelines and effectively communicating them internally.
  • Working closely with the digital marketing team to ensure content follows best practice.
  • Collaborating with external writers, agencies, designers, and other content creators to ensure content is produced to a high quality.
  • Optimising content for SEO to enhance Discover stories for indexing, ranking, click-through rates, and conversions, following best practices.
  • Actively identifying opportunities for content that supports broader brand and marketing focus areas.
