Description:

Wise Publishing, Inc. is a digital publishing and technology company but we’re much more than that; we’re a group of talented, passionate people who believe that consumers deserve the best possible information to help them make smart choices and get ahead.
Our purpose is to empower everyone to live a richer life.
Our core products are our widely read, high-quality personal finance brands, Moneywise.com, Money.ca which serve the U.S. and Canada respectively, reaching tens of millions of people monthly.
The Role
Our editorial team at Wise Publishing is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Content Editor to work with our SEO team to ensure our pages remain current, relevant and comprehensive. Reporting to the Senior Editor of Moneywise.com, you’ll work closely with the SEO and Editorial teams to produce and assign SEO content covering US-based financial topics, primarily investing and alternative investing content.
Our ideal candidate is motivated, with a knack for research and an ability to stay on top of key trends to ensure our pages engage, inform and empower our audience better than our competition. Since our readers trust our content to inform major financial decisions, accuracy and critical thinking are paramount. The Content Editor will be expected to find the best possible sources and determine how best to enrich each page they take on and make creative changes that can be done at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly monitor top pages and competitor/provider pages for changes, keeping our pages up to date.
  • Review and update Content Briefs for freelancers, ensuring alignment with user intent.
  • Assign content briefs to freelancers via freelancer management software, tracking availability, cost, and workload accurately.
  • Edit content, providing guidance and feedback to freelance writers.
  • Ensure content consistency with desired tone, style, intent, and brand guidelines.
  • Write new sections, paragraphs, and content on existing pages, ensuring relevance and accuracy.
  • Ensure figures, data points and facts on page are accurate.
  • Update SEO elements such as Schema, internal links, title tags, and meta descriptions based on best practices.
  • Create high-quality, complete pages on various topics, optimized for SEO.
  • Stay updated on fintech trends to generate new content ideas and update existing content.
