Cambrian is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing Team. The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for sharing Cambrian’s story in compelling ways by developing and delivering on tactics to support Cambrian’s business objectives and corporate strategy. At Cambrian, we save our members time and money, simplify their banking and help them solve their financial problems. Our content aims to help us communicate our message effectively to the market, leveraging marketing content and strategy via social, web and other platforms to engage members and prospective members to drive growth for the business.
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, the Content Marketing Specialist will work collaboratively to plan, create and curate best-in-class marketing content that supports all lines of business and delivers business results across all channels, focused primarily on campaign content, website content, social media content and email content. The incumbent will possess excellent editorial skills and develop strong partnerships with internal collaborators and external partners to deliver compelling and on-brand marketing content that resonates across all member and prospect market touchpoints.

YOUR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Post Secondary education in Marketing, Advertising or Communications or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience, including in-depth knowledge of copywriting/content creation/social media and website management.
  • Proven ability to develop and utilize Marketing analytics to continuously improve.
  • Strong understanding of digital/social media marketing trends, industry news and updates, pop culture and local media.
  • Creative thinker who understands the impact of message and delivery and how the audience receives it.
  • Ability to work well in an environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult on tactics to further the comprehensive content marketing strategy to support Cambrian’s organizational growth objectives and corporate strategy, engaging our members and member prospects with value added content across all stages of the content/sales funnel.
  • Engage with colleagues both formally and informally to write copy and produce content for all media, such as for campaigns, social media, emails, in-branch materials, presentation materials and the Cambrian and Achieva websites.
  • Collaborate with Communications team members on alignment of social media & financial literacy blog content as well as other internal and external content that align with marketing and/or corporate initiatives.
  • Contribute to development of a consistent approach to content marketing across all channels in alignment with Cambrian’s brand.
  • Take responsibility for the development and distribution of content on the web and social media channels, including utilizing social media, email and website content management tools or other platforms used to post and update info in a timely manner and according to the approved content calendar and marketing / corporate plans.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media, in consultation with members of Marketing leadership and/or other Cambrian departments such as Sales or Communications to ensure accuracy & tone.
  • Write, edit, produce and/or collaborate on high quality content across various formats, including social media posts, how-to content, blog posts, videos/reels, infographics, digital/traditional ads, emails and other content channels as needed.
  • Work closely with the Graphic Designer to ensure consistent application of Cambrian’s brand and design standards in all content and contribute to ongoing development of and adherence to ‘brand voice’.
  • Take ownership of website content quality & flow, regularly assessing content structure, performance and proactively making recommendations for improvements that align with campaigns, goals and corporate strategy.
  • Collaborate closely across Marketing, Communications and Digital Innovation teams to implement keyword strategies and improve content discoverability.
  • Follow and provide input into the long and short-term content publishing and social media calendar.
  • Demonstrate skill/diplomacy in dealing with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Establish and monitor content performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
  • Report regularly on content performance, including using metrics, data, and insights to help drive and evaluate content marketing programs and activities. Make recommendations and implement improvements when needed.
