ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Our ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas, though we welcome candidates with transferable skills from other backgrounds:
- Schools or Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs)
- Social-emotional wellbeing assistance
- Asset protection
- Education
- Law enforcement
- Crisis prevention/counseling
- Similar roles involving student safety or welfare
Required Skills:
- Understanding of child safety and online risks (training will be provided)
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex situations
- Comfortable with modern technology, including:
- Social media platforms
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn new systems and tools
- Interest in and awareness of current youth culture and trends
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Focus on detailed tasks for extended periods
- Make thoughtful decisions
- Handle sensitive content professionally
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Open-minded approach to different perspectives with fairness and empathy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Genuine commitment to student safety and well-being
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in a relevant field

As a Student Safety Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of student protection, working with our award-winning AI technology to review and assess potentially harmful online activity. Your decisions and actions will directly contribute to student safety and well-being, helping us maintain our mission of creating safer, more supportive educational environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyze AI-flagged online activity to identify potential threats to student safety
- Make critical decisions about the severity and urgency of flagged content
- Implement appropriate response protocols based on threat assessment
- Manage communication with school districts via email and phone
- Maintain detailed documentation of all reviewed cases and actions taken
- Collaborate with the Student Safety Group to refine and improve safety protocols
- Meet established performance metrics and quality standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI safety systems
- Participate in regular training to stay current with emerging online safety trends
