Job Introduction
Purpose:
This role is pivotal to drive and elevate the online presence of Crunch and showcase our distinctive brand, purpose and identity. Skilfully create and curate engaging content, in particular short form content for our social media channels, and build meaningful connections with new and existing clients and partners to grow our external community.
This role is a hybrid role, so there will be a regular requirement for office working at our Projects co-working space location for up to 2 days per week. Office working for the full week, or remote working from home for the other 3 days per week is possible if you would prefer this.
Due to the regular requirement for office working, living within a reasonable travelling distance of Brighton & Hove is recommended.

Responsibilities:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adapt from longform articles or create from scratch engaging short form written and visual content (using Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and TikTok) that capture the attention and imagination of our audience, with a focus on graphic design and video.

  • Support the Marketing Communications & Content Executive with creating and sending emails to clients using the Marketing Cloud system.

  • Utilise Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to maximise our content writing outputs, using business approved tools and validating the accuracy of information with our internal subject matter experts.
  • Research industry trends to ensure new and exciting content is available daily, to enable us to respond rapidly and decisively to any trending topics.
  • Work with stakeholders across all departments to identify material for posts, collect a broad mix of product led and people led content and seek sign off of copy where needed.
  • Design eye-catching graphics such as static images and gifs and create impactful short videos or reels to complement posts and boost interaction.
  • Strategically schedule posts across all our social media platforms using a social media calendar to ensure we maximise our reach and engagement.
  • Utilise social media management tools to streamline posting, monitor and evaluate success and share insights with the rest of the Marketing team.
  • Actively engage with our digital channel followers, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in an engaging, timely and professional manner.
  • Build and nurture authentic relationships with existing clients, conducting research as needed and ensuring their queries and concerns are addressed and escalate these to the Client Experience team as needed.
  • Promote brand advocacy within the Crunch team from sharing or viewing our content, and encourage engagement with our social media posts and content on our video channels such as YouTube.
  • Collaborate and interact with industry influencers and thought leaders online to expand our brand reach and credibility.
  • Proactively suggest new strategies and methods in Marketing team meetings to further enhance the reach of our content, and strengthen our social media presence and engagement levels.
  • Stay updated with the latest social media trends, platforms, and tools and seize opportunities to test these out and appeal to new audiences.
  • Liaise with partners, agency and freelancer support where there are content and social media elements to consider in their project work.
  • Interact with our customers to curate testimonials and case studies for display on the website and across our various other channels.
  • Get stuck in with additional marketing team tasks during busy periods where required.
  • Be committed to your own personal development and take proactive steps to learn and build knowledge.
  • Embrace the usage of the Hibob system, which is being used by Crunch to complete regular 121 and review conversations, and for setting and tracking company and department Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Role Specific Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in a content creation role, primarily short form written and visual content, including video and graphics..
  • A creative flair for writing content on a wide range of topics and a keenness to learn new things.
  • Practical usage of social media scheduling tools.
  • A curiosity for making the topic of accountancy more engaging for our audience.
  • Experience of video and image creation / editing tools such as Adobe Suite or Canva.

Desirable:

  • Awareness of the issues affecting Accountancy and Software as a Service (Saas) or tech businesses.
  • Experience of using email marketing systems such as Marketing Cloud, Pardot or Hubspot.
  • Firsthand experience as a small business owner, or can identify with the benefits or challenges of ‘being your own boss’.
