Vortex® is seeking a Content Specialist to elevate our brand’s social media content. From shooting and editing video content, to capitalizing on fast-paced trends on social media and creating Youtube videos, the Content Specialist will be part of a team of creative thinkers constantly seeking opportunities to engage with our customers.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

• Bachelor’s degree in in Marketing, Video Production, Sound Engineering and Production, or related field.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience creating content for brands or organizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro.
• General understanding of various audio/video equipment including, but not limited to, PTZ camera system, audio recorders, and public address systems.
• General understanding of live streaming for web distribution

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Create content for distribution across all Vortex social media platforms including Vortex Optics, Vortex Edge, Vortex Golf, and Vortex Nation Podcast.
• Proactively mine short form and long form content for distribution across social media platforms.
• Continued research and awareness of latest social media trends that impact short-form video production and create content in a timely manner that resonates accordingly.
• Assist video team by filming in-house lifestyle content.
• Assist in planning and execution of content strategies to effectively reach desired target audience.
• Support internal video requests, including, but not limited to Human Resources, company events that require audio and video streaming, and more.
• Work with content team to develop a content roadmap with engaging ideas for posts, understanding differences between each platform and what strategy works best for each.
• Work with social media management platform to schedule posts to target audiences when engagement will be highest.
• Other duties as assigned.
