Content Writer & Brand Storyteller, Marketing – Full time – Toronto, ON
Note: This is a one-year contract position covering a maternity leave. It is a hybrid role, with in-office and remote work. The office is located in North York, Ontario.
Our talented in-house team is looking for a gifted writer with a passion for healthcare that informs, educates and resonates with Canadians coast to coast. This role collaborates with multiple stakeholders across the organization with a priority focus on healthcare content. Working with clinicians across many disciplines, you will identify topics, research and collaborate with internal subject matter experts to craft content that educates Canadians on topics related to Lifemark services. You are adept at many content forms from editorial to snackable. You thrive on understanding audiences and their needs in order to create compelling content that is on tone, on topic and on brand.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a content creation, marketing or freelance writer role
- Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, journalism or related field
- Proven experience as a creative copywriter developing many content forms
- Experience working in a related position in the healthcare industry
- Above average writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
- Ability to leverage SEO principles to maximize reach
- Strong research skills
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Works well in a team
- Detailed oriented
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Evolve the brand voice to connect with private patients and educate them on Lifemark services
- Become a trusted content creator and grow content breadth by working closely with SMEs, clinicians and business segment leaders in the development of blogs and other pieces
- Plan, create and/or edit clear, compelling and concise resource material (articles, video storyboards, landing pages, etc.) for LifemarkHealthGroup.ca and Lifemark.ca
- Plan and develop content for marketing campaign emails, newsletters and nurturing campaigns
- Support the development and promotion of webinars through content planning, deck development, landing page development, promotional emails, post-event surveys and summary blogs
- Support clinic and business segment marketing content requests, including physician marketing, new service launches, and new clinician promotions through the development of service brochures, in-clinic posters, and more
- Elevate Lifemark’s B2B presence through the development of refreshed client-facing brochures and event material
- Support promotion of in-person and virtual conference materials, including development of sponsorship packages, slide decks, digital invites, and promotional posts
- Manage editorial calendar content planning
- Understand marketing and campaign results and apply learnings to aid future content development
- Ensure a strong voice and brand consistency is maintained across integrated channels
