Description:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree within a related area such as Business Administration. 4-6 years related experience including accounting, budget preparation, project management, and student information systems as well as experience with the operation of a post-secondary unit. Experience in Continuing Studies programming and with the Destiny One system is an asset.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of budgetary processes, including the development and administration of budgets
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems
- Knowledge and ability to document and analyze internal control processes
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment
- Proven project management skills with the ability to plan and think strategically
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be flexible and able to manage high work volume and conflicting priorities in order to meet deadlines
- Excellent research skills with ability to synthesize data and deliver findings and recommendations
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office, and complex databases, as well as the ability to generate and analyze reports
- Highly developed level of integrity and discretion and able to maintain strict confidentiality and to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
