Description:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree within a related area such as Business Administration. 4-6 years related experience including accounting, budget preparation, project management, and student information systems as well as experience with the operation of a post-secondary unit. Experience in Continuing Studies programming and with the Destiny One system is an asset.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of budgetary processes, including the development and administration of budgets
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems
  • Knowledge and ability to document and analyze internal control processes
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to plan and think strategically
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be flexible and able to manage high work volume and conflicting priorities in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent research skills with ability to synthesize data and deliver findings and recommendations
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office, and complex databases, as well as the ability to generate and analyze reports
  • Highly developed level of integrity and discretion and able to maintain strict confidentiality and to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
