An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic midwife to lead our established case loading team Blossom & Bloom; that offers continuity of care to women and their families planning to birth in the community setting. Whilst predominantly low risk care will be provided, clients that wish to birth outside of guidance will be supported by the team within a multi-disciplinary approach.

The role includes cross site working across Hampshire Hospitals. Our Trust provides maternity services across Hampshire in the community and at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester and Hampshire Hospitals Maternity Centre, Andover. The base for this role will be Andover Birth Centre however, travelling will be required to fulfil the role..
You will need to have excellent leadership skills to support the team to deliver high quality care and open to embracing positive change and transformation in order to meet the needs of the women in the local population. You will support women choosing to birth at home or in our free-standing birth centre embracing our plans to improve our provision of continuity of carer.
You should be an enthusiastic, confident clinical practitioner with experience in various midwifery settings, ideally within the community but not essential. Your ability to influence others will be integral to this role.
Working in maternity services at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an exciting opportunity. We provide maternity care to women across Hampshire and parts of Berkshire, caring for 5800 women and their families every year. We have two obstetric units and a free standing birth centre and we are committed to constantly improving our service.
