QUALIFICATIONS

The most important thing is that you know how a wind turbine functions and have proficiency in solving issues of complex technical nature. Other important qualifications for success in this job are:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Naval, Composites Engineering or related
  • +6 year of experience, preferably from the wind industry
  • Experience in with DMAIC improvement cycle, 6-Sigma
  • High level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Management and Continuous Improvement Management

Responsibilities:

As Technical Lead in CIM Blades your key responsibilities and tasks will be:

  • Investigate blade related failures reported from turbines in field by collaborating with site technicians and design engineers
  • Lead and participate in root-cause analysis and identify impact on fleet
  • Translating the nature of detected blade failures to into solutions preventing re-occurrence of the failure within Vestas
  • Identify short and long-term actions to reduce effect of failure
  • Initiate creation of necessary design change orders and the update of DFMEAs
  • Dialogue and alignment with affected stakeholders, Factory or supplier of blades, module owners, Service, and Construction, finance etc
