NAIT’s Machinist apprenticeship program will train students to set up and operate precision metal cutting and grinding machines, such as lathes, milling machines, drills and grinders. The programs will allow students the skills to make and repair products made from metal, plastic, rubber textile, fiberglass and alloys. Students will also learn how to incorporate manual machining knowledge with CNC machining techniques.
Machinist apprenticeship program at our Main Campus is currently recruiting for continuing instructors who are energetic leaders, committed to student success, and have outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Knowledge of computers

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma
Completion of Machinist Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent required including Inter-Provincial Red Seal an asset
Minimum 5 years recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson ticket.
Teaching experience an asset
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: Will commensurate with education and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Instructor salary grid $65,218.00 - $113,452.00 annually. However, starting salary for new hires averages between $78,998.00 - $85,889.00 annually based on education and experience with room for negotiations. (Classification - Instructor).
This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement
