The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for warranty-related issues. This position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

  • Provide support to manage all warranty-related activities at the Project Site. Coordinate technical matters with warranty teams, as required.
  • Utilize Fluor’s Contract Management System (CMSi) and SAP systems.
  • Maintain and coordinate the corrective actions log (warranty log) and resolutions. Support the technical teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of warranty activities.
  • Analyze commercial proposals and coordinate technical scopes of work including interface with warranty team (if applicable: legal services, project management, construction, engineering, finance/accounting, and client).
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems in accordance with contract terms, Fluor procedures, and project guidelines.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, specifically matters related to warranty
  • Conduct regular (weekly or bi-weekly) progress meetings attended by the warranty team.
  • Receive and reply to correspondence from Contractor. Maintain and organize contract files/documents and folders.
  • Prepare and review monthly contract status reports with the Project Contract Manager and Warranty Manager on committed costs, pending changes, and overall forecast.
  • Facilitate the review and approval of contractor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare and submit warranty reports to management, if applicable.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Prior contracts management experience in an EPC/EPCM, mining, or heavy industry environment, preferably with experience in warranty management.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills
  • Solid communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity or knowledge of the Canadian Bidding Law is strongly preferred
