Description:

We are looking for a Construction Contract Administrator to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and preparing contracts, negotiating terms and conditions, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. This role is integral to minimizing company exposure to risk and potential liability in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and administration of contracts, ensuring all proposals are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with finance staff to ensure proper billing and collection of contractual revenue.
  • Analyze and mitigate risk by reviewing and interpreting the terms and conditions of construction project contracts.
  • Maintain detailed and organized files for each contract, including original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, and payment schedules.
  • Track authorizations and correspondence and prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and budgets.
  • Monitor contractor performance, including the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, including scope, payment terms, and labor agreements.
  • Oversee the preparation and revision of contracts that involve the installation of fence and fencing products and submit comments back to contractors, sales persons, project manager or branch managers.
  • Obtain payment waivers on subcontractors to release liens against the organization and track payments and deadlines.
  • Ensure that the contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications, and government regulations.Construction
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction Contract Administration
  • High School Graduate or GED required, Associates or Bachelors in Business Administration/Construction Management preferred
  • Specific knowledge of contractual law, pre-lein filings, lein waivers, AIA billings, indemnification, insurance, bonding and general construction laws required
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software
