The Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO) team has an opportunity for a Contract IT Project Developer on a Field Data Capture (FDC) system consolidation project for a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Project Manager, the IT Developer’s primary role will be to work closely with other the project team to provide support on an Energy Components (EC) upgrade and develop required EC functionality. To be successful as the Contract Project IT Developer, you will need to be ready to work in a dynamic, fast-paced atmosphere, be able to work on tight deadlines and be competent in applicable technologies including Oracle and PL/SQL.

DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Oracle and PL/SQL script writing
• Familiar with Agile software development (iterative) methodology
• Database design and development using Oracle
• Development platforms/technologies: Java, Excel, XML, AWS
• Web development frameworks Web services, web form;
• Working knowledge of deploying applications with Docker
• Experience with programming development tools and source controls systems (SQL Developer, Eclipse, Maven, GIT);
• Experience with Energy Components Development would be beneficial but is not required
• Working experience with Linux would be an asset

OTHER DESIRED SKILLS\EXPERIENCE:

• North American Oil & Gas domain knowledge, particularly field data capture or production accounting or Crown Royalty accounting

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

• Partner with the implementation team and subject matter experts to ensure custom solutions are meeting the project outcomes and the identified needs of the business.
• Writing high-quality code to program complete applications on schedule
• Design creative prototypes according to specifications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Develop technical documents and documentation to accurately represent application design and code
• Integrating data from various back-end services and databases
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Manage the code in the code library
• Partner with the quality assurance team members to ensure that the test plan and test cases validate the expected outcomes and requirements
• Perform unit and integration testing before launch
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing
• Responsible for managing/participating in and contributing to test plan and test script development.
• Partner with the Run organization to ensure a successful transition to operations
• Participate in transition to operations work and deliverables.
