YOUR QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
You can move ahead as contract manager if you have:
- Master / bachelor’s degree: preferably in Quantity Surveying or master’s degree in Law.
- At least five (5) years of working experience as a contract manager.
- Knowledge of international construction contracts such as FIDIC / LOGIC contracts is an advantage.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail and being a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Following project award, providing contractual and commercial support during the preparation and execution of (joint venture) projects.
- Developing and implementing a proper project administration, including the administration of variation orders and claims.
- Ensure the proper and timely submission of contract deliverables in relation to the main contract and subcontracts.
- Reviewing documents in relation to specific project(s), such as: joint venture or consortium agreements, main contract and subcontracts.
- Drafting and reviewing of (covering) letters, variation orders and claims addressed to or received from partners, client and subcontractors.
- Proactively contributing to all required contract and / or subcontract negotiations during the execution phase of a project.
- Liaising with the insurance -, procurement - and treasury department and the legal counsel involved.
- Increasing contractual awareness within the project team and supporting and developing expertise within the legal & contract management department.
