This is a remote based role and can be based in either UK, Germany or close to one of our office locations in Europe.
As the Contracts Manager, you will oversee the contract lifecycle and play a key role in the implementation of a new contract management system. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, analysing, and optimizing contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including purchasing and legal, to provide actionable insights based on data and analytics, driving improved contract efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle management, from contract intake, execution, monitoring, renewal and termination.
  • Set-up, analyse and fine-tune contract management tools (e.g., Evisort, Legisway) to ensure optimal performance and supporting data insight for the business teams
  • Develop contract and negotiation playbooks and implement and manage contract management strategies as well as common standards informed by market trends and data-driven insights across the organization.
  • Regularly update contract templates to reflect current laws, regulations, and business needs.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contracts across various European markets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (purchasing, legal, compliance and data privacy) to ensure the templates and processes aligns with business requirements.
  • Generate detailed reports and analytics on contract performance, delivering insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate on and lead other project-based work within the scope of the legal department responsibilities on an as-needed basis.

You

  • Degree in Law, Business Administration, or Procurement or related field with a focus on contract management, or paralegal qualification.
  • Several years of experience in contract management, ideally within a multinational company.
  • Proficiency with contract management systems (e.g. Evisort, Legisway) and strong data analytics skills.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language is required.
  • Ability to provide proactive and strategic advice aligned with business objectives.
  • Holistic understanding of the industry and integrating legal strategies with overall business goals.
  • Proficient in concise and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Commercially driven with a focus on stakeholder partnership.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, business-centric environments, typical of high-growth companies.
  • A solid understanding of European contract law is highly desirable.
