Arup is currently seeking a Contract Marketing Coordinator with a passion for bidding to support our Canadian business. Based out of the Toronto office and the post-holder will work collaboratively with our dynamic engineering and marketing teams to build business that supports Arup’s mission toward a more sustainable future.
Our marketing coordinators work in a collaborative and energetic environment to support each other and senior staff locally, and across our Americas region, in their ongoing marketing/business development activities.

  • Collaborate with PMs/PDs and other subject matter experts to distill technical concepts into plain language.
  • Work with PMs/PDs/SMEs and Technical Briefing Sheet information to write and shape project and technical information into value-story narratives, in support of the award submission.
  • Formatting and collating project and technical information into award submission layouts, with some guidance from brand coordinators.
  • Coordinate submission forms and submittals through various association portals.

Responsibilities:

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in Marketing and/or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as marketing coordinator/proposal writer, with preference in the A/E/C (Architecture/Engineering/Construction) industry.
  • Strong communication, reporting and organizational skills.
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing activities with attention to detail and a degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to operate and thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Personable and collaborative working style with good listening skills and a commitment to positive stakeholder management.
  • Willing to take on new challenges and an enthusiasm to learn from and share with others.
  • Experience bidding on public-sector and private sector pursuits.
  • Presentation, technical documentation and layout skills.
  • Creative and critical thinking.
