The Lloydminster Business Technology team has an exciting opportunity available for an SAP Plant Maintenance Data Technician. Supporting the Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil business, the SAP Master Data Team is responsible for the accurate digital representation of Cenovus’s of facility, well and equipment data in a Maintenance Management System (SAP). This position requires a technically minded individual who preferably has experience with data management, data governance, and data administration of Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP, Maximo, JD Edwards or similar.

  • This position involves investigating and collaborating with internal and external teams to verify data and documents before accurately entering the data into SAP in accordance with Cenovus standards.
  • This position involves a diversity of challenges requiring the identification of issues, investigation, collaboration, and selection of an appropriate solution.
  • This position mainly follows defined processes to complete work.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately assess information to make decisions is key to this role.
  • This role is primarily in an office environment and does not include field work.
  • This position is best suited for a team player that can work with multiple stakeholders to achieve success.
  • Partners include operations, maintenance, engineering, finance, supply chain and service teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft Office;
    o Excel to analyze data using sorting, filtering, data transformation, pivot tables, and
    graphs. The ability to learn and apply formulas to large data sets.
    o Outlook to send and receive emails, and calendar to schedule meetings and manage
    time.

o Word to create professional documents such as work instructions and procedures.

  • Experience with SAP PM, HR, FI, MM, BW is an asset.
  • Oil and gas equipment knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SAP master data team is responsible for the administration and management of SAP Plant Maintenance to digitally represent Cenovus’s Canadian upstream operational assets.

  • This position is responsible to perform data management activities within SAP Plant Maintenance such as verifying data accuracy, executing data changes from requests, and perform data cleansing.
  • This position is responsible to work collaboratively with a range of customers including maintenance, operations, construction, and engineering to load equipment data into SAP.
  • This position is responsible to comply with data standards, procedures, and best practices but must challenge work processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the teams’ activities.
  • This position works mainly independently, making decisions based on standards and training, receiving guidance on complex or unusual issues.
  • This position is responsible to interpret data reports, technical documents, engineered drawings and various sources of data to ensure high accuracy and data quality.
  • This position may be required to influence stakeholders to maintain data quality standards.
  • This position may act as a coach and trainer to colleagues or other SAP users.
