Description:

Overview:
The DNI Contracts Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all contractual obligations are met in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and other relevant regulations, as well as exceptional negotiation and communication skills. The Contracts Specialist works with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to contract terms, mitigate risks, and facilitate successful contract execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review contract documents, including terms and conditions, statements of work, and pricing schedules.
  • Ensure that contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Monitor contract performance and adherence to terms and conditions throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Address contract-related issues, disputes, and modifications in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts, including amendments, extensions, and terminations.
  • Evaluate and process contract modifications, amendments, and change orders in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the resolution of contract disputes, claims, and discrepancies through negotiation and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors to ensure adherence to contract requirements and standards.
  • Administer contract-related processes, such as contract closeouts, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on contract status, performance, and compliance for management and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contractual matters, including interpretation of contract terms and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in contract management.
  • Work effectively with government contracting officers, program managers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • General understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) or equivalent
  • 2+ years of contract management experience
