Contracting/Sourcing Specialist

To support in the leadership and development of a team to take responsibility for the procurement and management of procurement projects (either products or services). This will include holding a delegated portfolio of projects. The post holder will foster a highly professional and responsive client service approach, implementing strategic sourcing and strong stakeholder engagement to achieve best value for money. This will include reviewing, negotiating and drafting documentation to meet the needs of joint procurement opportunities across the Networks, ensuring cost optimisation, strengthening supplier relationships and delivering savings targets to support the performance improvement programme.
The post holder will provide Procurement advice and expertise to colleagues and stakeholders. They will assist in the management of the teams resources and enhance expertise to enable staff to deliver plans, quality improvements, saving targets and day to day operations. They will also deputise for the Category Manager in their absence
