Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of extensive industry experience
- Gr. 12 or GED with preference given to those with post-secondary certification or equivalent
- Must have proven experience in Construction industry, have top tier customer service and be sales driven.
Responsibilities:
- To provide information, assistance and service to customers which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs and requirements of the customer.
- To generate sales and prospecting new customer accounts.
- Developing new professional, vendor and customer relationships in addition to the maintenance of current relationships.
- To quote potential projects (with a primary focus on large residential and commercial projects), both the creation and presentation of quotes.
- Responsible for meeting all sales targets (quarterly/yearly) as developed by the Project Centre Manager.
- Strong collaboration with the sales team in addition to supporting, helping, coaching/mentoring all Home and Building solution team members.
- Working closely with the Project Centre Manager in relation to inventory and special or out-of-stock merchandise requested by customers.
- To operate the POS system; evaluating and analyzing customer accounts (charge/credit accounts); monitoring the sale of their projects and working occasionally at the desk.
- Support of community/professional events; representing the Co-op as a brand ambassador and networking with suppliers/vendors.
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints while considering the bottom line and brand awareness.
- To maintain constant awareness around the unauthorized removal of merchandise at sites.
- To perform carryout services for customers as requested on projects.
