GenesisCare now has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts and Budget Specialist to join our team, this role is responsible for the drafting, negotiation and review of trial specific budgets and the completion of clinical trial research agreements and indemnities for studies conducted at GenesisCare.
Your ability to build strong working relationships will be critical to your success. You will be working closely with the Research Ethics & Governance Manager, Senior Contracts and Budget Specialist and Research Operations Manager to ensure efficient and timely start-up of all research projects.
This full-time role working remotely, reports directly to the Research Ethics & Governance Manager.
More specifically, you will:
- Have thorough understanding of all research projects conducted nationally.
- Manage clinical trial start-up processes and activities including but not limited to, review and interpretation of clinical trial protocol for the preparation of trial budget, budget negotiation, drafting and finalisation of clinical trial research and other agreements.
- Ensure all budget amendments and variations to contracts are drafted, reviewed and executed.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding all contracts and agreements applicable to research.
- Maintain contract/agreement register.
- Ensure study start-up timelines are achieved for the delivery of quick budget negotiation and finalisation, drafting and execution of contracts and applicable study agreements.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new systems and processes in relation to finance, contracts and the start-up process.
- Obtain third party quotations and ensure in line with budget.
- Assist the Research Finance Analyst with review and approval of Visit & Payment Trackers
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant health sciences or other allied field or significant practical and professional experience in the Research Ethics and Governance regulatory field
- Understanding of and/or experience with Human Research Ethics Committees and Research Governance submissions.
- Experience in communication and explaining legal/budgetary issues to internal and external parties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, pro-active and co-operative manner High level of initiative, adaptability and flexibility and the ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities.
- Risk mitigation and recommendations for shorter negotiation timelines.
- Thorough knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable national and international laws and regulations
