Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

A new role of Contracts / Projects Manager has arisen, predominantly working on public sector housing and external works projects. The candidate must have proven experience of delivering projects in scale, on time and on budget.
The position will involve working closely with the Head of Construction and site operations team to deliver multiple ongoing projects from start to finish. The role includes managing site operatives, sub-contractors and office administration support staff. Representing the company to multiple clients, we are looking for someone who prides themselves on high quality delivery and professionalism in all areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Site surveys and inspections.
  • Preparing schedule of works for approval in line with client’s scope of works.
  • Delivery of works through direct labour resources and sub-contractors, the candidate should be skilled in delivery of multiple units.
  • Proactively monitor and manage contracts to ensure we are performing and delivering in accordance with our Company ethos and KPI’s.
  • Completing valuations for Clients and Subcontractors payments, including final accounts and snagging inclusions, to deliver projects within budget at agreed margins.
  • To complete weekly reporting and attend weekly construction team meetings.
  • To complete project programme on our construction management software.
  • To oversee all aspects of site works which are fully visible through our construction management software.
  • Quality control and sign off for all third-party accreditations. To ensure all works meet our standard and all compliance has been followed.
  • Implement company safe systems of work and monitor site health and safety procedures.
  • To undertake ToolBox Talks, H&S spot checks on site and advise site managers on weekly site visits.
  • Produce Risk Assessment Method Statements, where required outside of Safe Systems of Work, in association with our H&S consultant.
  • Issuing site specific Construction Phase Plans in line with company H&S policy, produced with office administrator on all project.
