Description:

Quinn Downes Group are a leading National provider of Mechanical Service Installations to high-profile clients across Ireland. We have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join our expanding team.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Contracts Manager will have full responsibility for an agreed number of contracts works, including their costs and efficiencies. This person will be a member of the senior management team, and there will be an expectation that they will get involved in how the business works and runs, providing input on how to improve a smoother running of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of Projects according to the contract requirements, time limits, company quality standards and construction regulations.
  • Ensure that all work is completed on schedule, to project specifications and in budget.
  • Manage the relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Control of the field operations costs and gross profit.
  • Ensuring that all subcontractors are managed correctly to ensure quality installation and that they are achieving critical dates and on programme, regular site visits must also take place.
  • Responsible for the control and authorization of overtime.
  • Have a deep understanding of the design details and interfaces where applicable to your project
  • Generating Progress Claims and assessing % progress claimed v actual progress on site.
  • Ensuring that all Variations are priced issued in a timely fashion and added to the project claim.
  • Managing engineer’s timesheet validation prior to payroll, as well as their absences and back-up.
  • We pride ourselves on extremely high levels of customer satisfaction through quality of service and precise communication. Excellent communication with the customer is essential in this role.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a strong focus on continuous performance improvements in day-to-day tasks.
  • Driving new business and help grow the business.

Desired Criteria:

  • Previous contract management experience in the HVAC industry is required.
  • Drive is essential for this role. The successful candidate must be driven to achieve success on each project to a high quality standard and on time.
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and under tight time constraints.
  • Proficient use of all MS Office programmes.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, with authority, skilled in developing and building relationships.
  • Full drivers’ licence is required.
