Summary of Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to ensure adequate and consistent standards in contract management in Urenco’s project portfolio. The Contract Manager’s responsibility includes the proficient application of standards and responsibility for the contract management output in Urenco’s project portfolio. The role provides a check/review on payments and contractor performance as a key element of the role. The Contract Manager will assume functional accountability for the effective application of Urenco standards, and be responsible for project contract management output for Urenco projects. The Contract Manager will provide subject matter expert consulting, advice and instruction. The role will be accountable for the development and maintenance of Urenco’s processes and procedures for contract management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, supply chain, business administration, construction or related fields. • 10+ years’ experience in negotiations, procurement and contract management with proven track record in contracting for engineering and construction services.
- Demonstrable experience working within the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to hand-over
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management and negotiations
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR)
- MBA is advantageous
- Demonstrable success in arbitration, litigation or adjudication
- Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision
