Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain professional who enjoys working closely with a small collaborative Supply Chain (SC) team, sharing ideas with a hands-on contribution in the areas of Supply Chain materials and Service Agreements, leading commercial negotiations, executing sourcing (RFx) events. This position reports to the Manager, Supply Chain.
Note: This is a 12 month temporary position and can be based out of Calgary, AB or Estevan, SK.
Position Responsibilities
- Establish supplier agreements that reduce risk and add lifecycle value through various sourcing channels including: RFP’s, RFQ’s, Single Source or Sole source awards
- Lead and execute sourcing events on behalf of the company
- Assess RFP requirements and coordinate with internal departments to review contractual obligations and provide information for RFx and contract development
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders through the procurement process to ensure governance to processes and procedures is maintained
- Negotiate supplier commercial agreements including reviewing and advising on risk with agreement terms and conditions
- Provide advice and guidance to ensure contracts, amendments, and renewals are approved and executed. Manage and maintain contract documentation
- Ensure suppliers are pre-qualified and support contractor performance management as required
- Proactively work with Business Unit partners to identify spend opportunities for strategic sourcing and contracting
- Collaborate with SC Manager and general counsel to develop agreement and sourcing templates
- Provide executive summaries and business base proposals for executive leadership team review
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years in a procurement role focused in contracting and sourcing, experience in the energy industry is an asset; Experience working on midstream construction projects is preferred
- Post-secondary education in Commerce, Finance, or Purchasing with a satisfactory business component and/or procurement related designation ( i.e. SCCM, CCCM,) or equivalent or equivalent experience
- Experience in agreement negotiations including commercial and legal terms and conditions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to problem solve, find alternative solutions, and think creatively
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications, with superior skills in Excel
Kingston Midstream is committed to providing a flexible work practice to allow office employees to work both from the office and from a remote location. This position would be eligible to work remotely Mondays and Fridays and in Kingston’s office Tuesday to Thursday.
