Our client, Foresters Friendly Society, is a well-established financial services company based in Southampton, Hampshire. Due to their continued growth, they are now looking for a competent and self-driven Contributions Assistant - you will be providing a professional and effective premium collection service to the Foresters Friendly Society, complying with all Regulatory requirements.

Contributions Assistant, your role:

  • Managing Direct Debit runs (AOF and POIS)
  • Processing all ADDACS, AUDDIS and ARUDDs as provided by BACS
  • Acting as first point of contact for existing members regarding their payments – setting up and managing unsuccessful Direct Debits, catch up card payments
  • Posting off lump sum top up cheques and card payments
  • Processing quarterly Contributions Sheets issued to Courts
  • Liaising with Courts about any arrears relating to policies paid to the Courts
  • Overseeing any cheques or postal orders received (weekly)
  • Pursuing outstanding premiums for Foresters, POIS, Leek and Tunstall premiums
  • Actioning paygroup receipts and pay authorities to commence, amend, or cancel deductions
  • Providing Group with monthly Group Report
  • Dealing with any telephone or written queries as required
  • Maintaining and continuing Direct Debit collections for legacy systems

Contributions Assistant, the person:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Previous experience within accounts environment
  • Familiar of Direct Debits and associated banking procedures
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Methodical and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Confident, articulate and assertive in dealing with people both by letter and telephone
  • Able to problem-solve - adaptable and responsive to changing needs and priorities
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel
