QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of Automotive, Mechatronics, Systems, Controls, Computer or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive or related field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow and modelling standards (MAAB rules).
  • Good understanding of vehicle powertrains technology and components.
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g. CANape, CANalyzer, INCA etc.)
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication systems e.g. CAN, XCP, UDS etc.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety standard ISO26262 and Autosar standard is an asset.
  • You proceed according to a good methodology in development and problem solving.
  • You are well organized and have strong analytical and communication skills.
  • You are an excellent team player

Responsibilities:

  • You will join a team of control strategy and modeling experts that develop the controls software for conventional and hybrid DCT transmissions.
  • The controls software is developed fully in-house according to the Model Based Development process (V-cycle) with Simulink.
  • You will design, develop and validate the control strategies for specific functions or modules in the controls software.
  • You will be involved in every step of the software development V-cycle for the functions that you are working on, i.e. defining the requirements, designing the control strategies, implementing them in Simulink, verifying and validating them on different platforms (MIL, HIL, test bench, vehicle).
  • You will work together closely with other teams, like the system engineering -, mechanical -, hydraulics - and calibration team, to discuss and define the requirements.
  • Once you’ve developed and validated new or updated control strategies, there is a separate subteam that will further test and validate the software. You will work together with them to find solutions if they find bugs or failing test cases.
  • You will support the calibration team to optimize the behavior of the transmission system so that it meets all requirements regarding performance, driveability, durability, reliability, safety, efficiency, fuel consumption, …
