We are looking for a Control Room Controller to be based at our client in South West London. The site is a large museum which holds many different events across the course of the year including fashion shows and weddings.
As a Control Room Controller you are an integral part of the team and you can make an impact with your skills to protect, deter and respond to any security matters, whilst providing an exceptional customer service experience.
A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CONTROL ROOM CONTROLLER:
- Monitor on a day to day basis the CCTV, Fire and Security systems installations, ensuring that all systems are operable, complete regular system tests, panic alarm tests and lift checks and report all faults in timely manner.
- To operate and monitor effectively the Control Room CCTV system ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance within the operating procedures, legislation and codes of practice for the prevention of crime.
- Monitor effectively the alarms on the access/ perimeter control system, museum case alarms and dispatch officers to respond.
- To operate radio, telephone and other communication systems in a prompt helpful and professional manner.
- Support the tactical strategies employed by the V&A museum
- Carry out routine tests of Fire, Safety and Security equipment including CCTV systems as directed by the Control Room Supervisor and maintain accurate records of these tests.
