Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Control Room Operator’s primary purpose is to provide support to the security department. To oversee the protection of sites through monitoring and regulating the company’s procedure. The following tasks will include, but are not limited to:
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- Grade B PSIRA Certificate.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CCTV).
- Problem-solving skills.
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge of Company Rules & Regulations.
- Ability to work with people.
- Ability to influence other staff positively.
- Apply site procedures consistently.
- Ability to train junior staff.
- Ability to discipline junior staff.
- Sound report writing skills.
QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES
- Self-motivated.
- Inherent willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Trustworthiness and honesty.
- Being able to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
- Not easily influenced negatively.
- Not easily intimidated.
- Ability to motivate people.

- Daily reporting of occurrences.
- Reporting of irregular activities.
- Communicating with drivers and controllers.
- Reason for route deviation.
- Reason for delay.
- Response on system / email / report.
- Reporting of issues to the relevant department
