JOB DESCRIPTION
Operates and controls a computer by operating the console or on-line terminals in accordance with established operating routines. Manipulates controls in accordance with standard procedures to rearrange sequence of job steps to continue operations when individual units of the system malfunction. Monitors hardware operation and production and maintains operating records.
Position highlights:
- Computer Operator will primarily monitor US Remit workflow summary, deposit cuts, error queues related to lockbox processing and ensure that all transmission outputs are successful for all National Wholesale and Government Lockbox sites.
- Monitors hardware for production operations and records equipment downtime and capacity; maintains balancing and records sites’ total volume.
- The ability to identify and resolve/escalate basic hardware/software problems for the lockbox personnel.
Basic Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience as a computer operator
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of lockbox US remittance experience
- Working knowledge of various operating systems and utility commands
- Thorough knowledge of the central console or on-line terminal operations
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate basic hardware/software problems
- Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Lockbox processing application(s) (FIS RIDS)
- Some Knowledge of U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures
- Ability to research and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with Business Line Operational Leaders across multiple locations
